Regional travelling stock reserve vegetation guides

Improving the conservation values of travelling stock reserves (TSR) requires the identification of vegetation classes, species and ecological communities. 

Regional TSR vegetation guides contain information needed to allow for rapid field assessment of the potential status of native vegetation.

Each regional TSR vegetation guide provides:

• general descriptions of the most common vegetation classes in each region
• distribution and map of each vegetation class 
• landscape position and soils
• vegetation descriptions including canopy species, main shrub and under storey species
• photos of representative communities likely to be found within TSR each region
• any threatened ecological communities or endangered ecological communities that may be present.

The NSW Environmental Trust Linear Reserves project funded the development of the Local Land Services regional TSR vegetation guides.
