What is the Youth Week theme for 2025? I am…. We are the future, and the future is now

The 12-member NSW Youth Advisory Council decide the theme for NSW Youth Week 2025.

This year, the youth week theme is about:

celebrating every young person’s unique strengths
recognising young people’s individual and collective power as our current and future influencers, leaders and decision makers.

Young people are invited to celebrate the theme by sharing who they are, their skills, qualities, something about themselves they are proud of, or something they are passionate about advocating for.

I am running Youth Week activities in my local area but is not with local council. I would like to be advertised on the Youth Week website. How do I do this?

We encourage you to get in touch with your local Council to explore collaboration opportunities. If your local Council provide a written endorsement of your event, they can invite you to register to add your event to the Youth Week website.

You are welcome to also get in touch with ACYP at participation@acyp.nsw.gov.au and provide details of your event so they can consider you in their marketing communications.

How can councils work with non-government to deliver Youth Week activities?

Councils can:

Actively reach out to the community to see what non-government organisations are doing in your local area,
Provide a way for these organisations to register interest to partner with you
Run a competition for young people in your local community to submit ideas for future Youth Week events and activities.
