The purpose of the General Retention and Disposal Authority – Records relating to the provision of shared corporate services is to establish consistent minimum retention periods for records relating to the provision and delivery of corporate services to external clients.
The authority also provides permission for the destruction of these records in accordance with the provisions of the State Records Act after the expiry of the specified minimum retention periods.
