Koala Strike at Bagotville on Pacific Highway
On Wednesday 9 October 2024, a deceased koala was located in the road shoulder of the southbound lanes of the Pacific Highway east of Bagotville.
The koala was found in an area where permanent fauna fencing has been installed in accordance with the Koala Management Plan. Initial investigations could not find any breach points in the fence where the koala may have entered the road corridor.
