Privacy Personal Information Policy

This policy applies to all Youth Justice NSW employees who collect, store, access, use or disclose personal information. The policy aims to prevent inappropriate disclosure of information while promoting the safety and wellbeing of young people, their families and the community.

This policy is intended to ensure that personal information, held or obtained by Youth Justice NSW during its work is dealt with by Youth Justice NSW employees appropriately, confidentially and with integrity. 

This policy covers such matters as:

  • collection, access, and use
  • disclosure of personal information
  • disclosure of third-party information
  • permitted disclosure without consent
  • information sharing arrangements.
