Richmond Road – M7 and Townson Road
What’s this about?
Each day, nearly 89,000 vehicles travel through the Richmond Road and Rooty Hill Road North intersection.
Road users currently experience heavy congestion, slow travel times and delays travelling to their destination.
Transport for NSW aim is to ease congestion and improve traffic flow by widening Richmond Road and upgrading intersections.
The project benefits are:
- ease congestion and improve the travel times for all road users
- improve traffic flow through the intersections
- improve safety for all road users
- improve connectivity for the communities in the north-west
- improve pedestrian safety with a new staged crossing making it easier for pedestrians and bike riders to move safely in and around the area.
