What’s this about?

The Geographical Names Board (GNB) is seeking community feedback on a proposal by Lake Macquarie City Council to amend the suburb boundary between Balmoral and Buttaba.

The proposal seeks to extend the suburb of Buttaba to include the properties located on the northern side of Fred Avery Drive.

This adjustment aims to provide the community with a more logical and visual boundary, as this street is bordered by bushland to the north and is not accessible via Balmoral. The proposed boundary will create a clearer, more physically defined boundary line.
