What’s this about?

This draft plan outlines the future management directions for the park, which is located on Nari Nari Country, about 40km northwest of Hay in western NSW.

The park is co-managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Nari Nari people through the Mawambul Co Management Group.

Co-operative management

Continued collaboration with the Mawambul Co Management Group.

Environmental protection

Safeguarding significant wetlands, plant, animal, and vegetation communities, including threatened species.

Cultural heritage

Protecting and managing significant Aboriginal cultural heritage sites appropriately.

Ongoing protection and management of historic heritage.

Visitor use

Providing for sustainable visitor use and enjoyment.
