What’s this about?

Since 2015, NPWS has worked with Wollongong City Council and other stakeholders to provide a sustainable mountain bike trail network on the Illawarra Escarpment that:

  • protects the escarpment's environmental and cultural values, and
  • provides riding opportunities for mountain bike riders.

NPWS created a draft review of environmental factors for community consultation, which provides a comprehensive and detailed environmental assessment for the proposed mountain bike network.
