Prince Alfred Bridge, Gundagai
What’s this about?
The Prince Alfred Bridge is a timber road viaduct that was carefully dismantled in November 2021 due to serious safety concerns.
In December 2021, a community survey attracted a total of 139 submissions and identified that there is a strong desire to reimagine the timber and steel remnants of the bridge.
The aim of this latest consultation is to gather feedback on potential design concepts created by consultant heritage architects Conrad Gargett.
The design concepts intend to reflect the heritage, cultural and social sentiment of the community, while being a place of interest that attracts locals and visitors to the town.
