What’s this about?

The Southern Border Bush Fire Management Committee is seeking feedback on a draft bush fire risk management plan (BFRMP).

A BFRMP is a document that identifies:

  • bush fire risk to communities
  • ways of reducing the impact of fires across an area to keep people safe and protect the things we value.

The Southern Border Bush Fire Management Committee is made up of fire agencies, land managers and other stakeholders. They have been working hard to find ways to reduce the impact of fires in the Federation, Berrigan Shire, Greater Hume and Albury City Local Government Area – protecting lives, homes, businesses, the environment, cultural values and other assets in this area.

Your feedback is important. By planning together, we will help shape the bush fire risk management plan for this area for the next 5 years.
