What’s this about?

Appin Road is a key arterial road between south-western Sydney and the Illawarra. The road services the suburbs of Appin, Gilead and Rosemeadow.

The Appin Road safety review found many ways to improve safety along the road.  As such, Transport proposes to install safety barriers, widen the road and build a roundabout at the Brian Road intersection.

A fauna underpass has also been proposed at the intersection. This will connect koalas near Ousedale Creek travelling between the Georges River Reserve and Nepean Corridors.

The fauna underpass is a key recommendation of the Cumberland Plain Conservation Plan and addresses a prime issue identified in the Campbelltown Comprehensive Koala Plan of Management.

We are seeking your feedback on the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the Brian Road Intersection Upgrade. Your feedback will help us understand what is important to customers and the community.
