Bardwell Park Station upgrade
What’s this about?
This upgrade is being delivered as part of the Safe Accessible Transport program.
The program aims to make public transport safer, more inclusive and easier to use for all passengers.
Improvements will be designed to support our diverse customers, this includes:
- people with disabilities
- parents or carers with prams
- the elderly
- women and girls.
Key features include:
- a new lift to improve access to platforms from Hartill-Law Avenue
- an accessible parking space, an accessible kiss and ride space, additional bike parking and upgrade of bus stops on Hartill-Law Avenue
- a new family accessible toilet, new hearing loops, platform regrading and tactile indicators
- safety improvements including lighting, CCTV, and wayfinding signage
- design and placemaking enhancements that consider Connecting to Country.
Transport for NSW is seeking community feedback on the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the proposed upgrade to Bardwell Park Station.
The REF has been prepared outlining the features of the concept design and assesses a range of potential environmental impacts expected during construction and operation.
The REF includes:
- how we plan to minimise these impacts to our environment and the community
- responses to key themes raised during early engagement earlier this year.
