What’s this about?

The Surveying and Spatial Information Regulation 2017 is due to be repealed on 1 September 2024.

The Regulation sets technical and administrative standards for land and mining surveys in NSW.

It ensures:

  • competent surveyors provide the public with professional survey services
  • the maintenance and on-going development of the state control survey and State cadastre – which provide a reliable and accurate spatial referencing system underpinning titling, surveying, spatial information and mapping systems in NSW.

DCS-Spatial Services is inviting comments on the draft Surveying and Spatial Information Regulation 2024 and the accompanying Regulatory Impact Statement.
