Cook Park Precinct Sport, Play, Grandstand & Mixed Recreation Project

About the Project

The Cook Park Precinct Project delivers an upgraded sport and mixed recreation facility in St Marys to provide the community with access to high-quality sporting facilities to accommodate a variety of needs from grassroots participation to elite-level competitions. The upgrade will include a new amenities building, extended grandstand with spectator viewing facilities, a new synthetic playing surface, additional car parking spaces, a walking circuit with pedestrian lighting, tree planting and landscaping.

Project Scope

The project delivers:

  • Upgrades to the existing Amenity Building
    • Additional storage, accessible adult change, accessible toilet, passenger lift, extended players race to connect fields 2, 3 & 4
    • Upgrades to change rooms, male and female toilets, 
    • Upgraded media room and kitchenette.   
  • Additional two-storey Amenities Building extension
    • New canteen and canteen storage
    • Two unisex change rooms, two umpire changerooms, coaches, administration and medical rooms.
    • New activities rooms on first floor with spectator and viewing areas.
  • New hybrid field surface upgrade for field 1.
  • New synthetic surface upgrade for field 2
  • Natural surface reconstruction for field 3
  • Precinct wide walking circuit with pedestrian lighting
  • Car park upgrade to accommodate increased capacity and functionality of the precinct.
  • Landscaping, spectator seating and tree planting.
