About the Project

The Scott Street Upgrade Project delivers upgrades across the entire street in Liverpool complete with high-quality public domain treatments to support pedestrian and cyclist usage and amenity. The upgrade also includes the revitalisation of the streetscape of Scott Street and Memorial Avenue.

Project Scope

The upgrade works feature:

  • New pedestrian priority crossings to improve pedestrian connections and safety;
  • New street trees and planting along the street and neighbouring laneways, to increase canopy coverage and street greenery and to improve the quality of pedestrian connections to Railway Serviceway;
  • New organised on-street carparking with street trees between car parking bays;
  • Increased public domain, including footpath areas, to improve pedestrian amenity;
  • Re-configuration to sections of the street, to accommodate a new cycleway; and
  • New high quality public domain treatments and infrastructure (e.g. furniture, fixtures and fittings), to enhance the streetscape character, and to improve pedestrian amenity.
