About the Project

The Gandangara Cultural Connection Hub Project delivers a three-level, fully accessible cultural and arts facility with a Keeping Place in Liverpool for the community to Connect. Belong. Thrive. The centre celebrates local Aboriginal culture by providing innovative spaces for community gatherings, art, events, performance, education, research and retail. 

Project Scope

The fully accessible, Green Star-rated building features:

  • Basement: Undercover car parking 
  • Ground Floor: The Meeting Place (interactive space featuring a social enterprise “Connections Café” with bush tucker from our gardens) 
  • Level One: The Living Culture and Learning Centre (a place for all to connect, share, and learn in First People’s culture)
  • Level Two: The Keeping Place (archaeological repository, visual arts gallery, and exhibitions)
  • Rooftop level: Interactive Greenzone (First Peoples gardens, interpretive nature walk, and outdoor “green” meeting zones).
