The Hills School Accessible Playground Project

About the Project

The Hills School Accessible Playground Learning Spaces project upgrades the existing outdoor learning areas, ensuring they are safe, accessible and fit-for-purpose. The upgrade and accessibility improvements for the school's Park Playground will enable all students to engage freely in learning spaces without limitation based on physical abilities.

Project Scope:

  • Landscaped outdoor learning spaces to rooms 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 including fully wheelchair accessible paths
  • Appropriately graded and treated surfaces
  • Installation of fixed specialized play equipment
  • Remedying of natural plant life and upgrading of safety elements including improved drainage, surface grips, fencing and safety planting
  • Landscaped playground spaces in Area D and E including wheelchair accessible pathways
  • Accessible play equipment and enhancements to safety features of each area
