About the Project

Bernie Mullane Sports Complex Livvi’s Place Extension Project is The Hills Shire Council’s premier all abilities playground. This project will extend the existing playground to provide additional play opportunities for a greater range of ages and abilities. The project also includes an accessible amenities building allowing longer stays at the park.

Project Scope

  • Accessible amenities building featuring a ‘changing room’
  • Accessible play tower featuring slides, ramp, climbing net and play activities
  • Double flying fox featuring a harness seat for all abilities
  • An additional swing set featuring a toddler seat and a parent/child seat
  • Rubber soft fall surfacing to all new play equipment
  • Shade Sails
  • Accessible park furniture including seats with back and arm rests, wheelchair accessible picnic settings
  • Picnic shelters 
  • Wide accessible concrete pathways
  • Sandstone block retaining walls
  • Turf areas
  • Dry creek bed
  • Soft landscaping works including feature gardens with sensory properties, shade trees
  • Water bottle refill station
  • Fencing modifications including maintenance gate and new pedestrian gate
