About the Project

The Simmos Beach Parklands project delivers new recreation infrastructure, amenity upgrades and improved access to the popular nature site located on the banks of the upper Georges River. The project ensures the site can accommodate the current and future demands for quality outdoor recreation while preserving and protecting the natural environment.

The project features:

  • New infrastructure to support passive recreation
  • Amenity upgrades including park furniture and car parking
  • Upgrades to the existing footpath network
  • New viewing decks
  • Informative signage
  • New trees and soft plantings.
