Macarthur Recreation Trail Project

About the Project

The Macarthur Recreation Trail Project delivers a long term vision for an outdoor trail link traversing Bow Bowing Creek and passing through major town centers between Camden, the Australian Botanic Garden, Mt Annan and Campbelltown Station. The project features 2.8km of new paths to complete two missing links within the outdoor trail network in addition to improved signage and outdoor amenities. 

Project Scope

The project features:

  • Restoration of environmental damage, assets and elements.
  • New lighting for public space security and designing out crime.
  • Connecting structural concrete and soft-landing pathways
  • Resilient landscaping with water capturing functions
  • New space activation with furniture, fixtures and signage including:
    • Picnic Settings
    • Bench Seating
    • Bike Racks
    • Wayfinding Signage
    • Fencing
