Eligibility
Who can apply
Applicants must;
- Be a member of Southern Tablelands Arts (membership is free thanks to Create NSW and our contributing Local Councils)
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN). If you need to get an ABN you can apply here at the Australian Business Register.
- For applicants who are registered for GST please note that the total project funding is GST inclusive
- Be based within the Southern Tablelands Arts contributing council areas of Goulburn Mulwaree, Hilltops, Queanbeyan-Palerang, Wingecarribee, Wollondilly, Upper Lachlan and Yass Valley
- Be an individual, or arts-based organisation
- Apply for an arts related project
- Complete projects within 2025

Types of projects funded under this grant
We are aiming to be as flexible as possible and will consider a wide range of requests, providing it will have a positive impact on your arts practice and/or the community, such as;
- Cultural projects delivered in our communities
- Socially engaged arts projects
- Workshop delivery
- Display and exhibitions
- Performances
- Amazing arts programs
- Community engaged projects
- Participatory arts experiences
When the project can start and end
Eligible projects must be delivered between 15th February 2025 - 31st December 2025.
The project should be started by 15 February 2025 and the project must be completed by 31 December 2025.
What costs you can't apply for
This funding will not support;
- Competitions, Awards, Prizes, Judging
- Fundraising events
- General operating expenses or ongoing costs of long-term continuous projects
- Projects that have commenced or are completed
- Activities which could be considered part of the curriculum for schools or tertiary institutions
- Overseas travel
- Non-arts related activities

Prepare your application with this checklist
Applicants must submit an application through SmartyGrants prior to the round closing at midnight 20 January 2025.
Address the eligibility criteria
Each applicant, as part of an application response, must confirm that they meet the eligibility criteria.
Applicants that do not address the eligibility criteria in full may be excluded from the application process at the department's discretion.
Address the assessment criteria
The assessment criteria emphasize the project's artistic and cultural merit. Projects should demonstrate relevance to the community by attracting local participants and audiences. Evidence of thorough planning and community consultation, including letters of support, is essential. A clear, viable budget is required to establish financial stability, showing any additional cash or in-kind contributions. Projects aligning with regional priorities should address key local focus areas to maximize their impact on the community.

Applications open on Friday 01 November 2024. Applications close midnight 20 January 2025. Successful recipients will be notified in February in time for the CASP DAY announcements on 14 February 2025.

Successful applications will be decided by: Southern Tablelands Arts Assessment Panel
Applications will be assessed by the Southern Tablelands Assessment Panel in February 2025 against the assessment criteria.
Anticipated assessment outcome date is 14/02/2025
Anticipated date for funding deed execution with successful applicants is 15/02/2025
