Program objective
The objectives of the CASP are to:

Support arts and cultural activities and projects to drive community and social benefits

Assist locally determined community arts and cultural activities

Increase opportunities for regionally based groups to access a diverse range of arts programs

Enables communities to explore and express their cultural identities
This program is administered by Create NSW.
Eligibility
Who can apply
Grants of up to $3,000 are available to support activities or projects that engage and benefit a section of the community in the South East Arts Region.
To be eligible for this grant you must:
Be based in the South East Arts region
Be an arts organisation, group or local council
Your request must be arts related
The request must offer a way of helping your community’s arts practice, engagement or experience
Projects, purchases or activities supported by the funding must be completed within the calendar year
Organisations or groups must be a legal entity to apply or be auspiced by a legal entity (eg. incorporated organisation).
Location that are eligible include Bega Valley, Eurobodalla, Snowy Monaro Regional
Types of projects funded under this grant
Small-scale projects or events
Workshops
A collaborative project bringing together multiple groups or practitioners
Small capital projects or equipment costs
Exhibitions
Marketing
Collections, curation and skills development
Local Government applications must be supported by a minimum of 50% cash co-contribution.
When the project can start and end
Projects are to take place between the 1st of February - 31st December 2025.
The project should be started by 1 February 2025 and the project must be completed by 31 December 2025.
What costs you can apply for
This funding can be used for a range of costs or activities, such as:
- Artist/Arts Worker fees
- Materials and Equipment hire
- Venue hire
- Travel and accommodation (for artists)
- Advertising and Promotion

Types of projects not funded under this grant
CASP will not fund:
Core administration costs, office costs
Competitions
Fundraising events
Prizes
Activities that have already been funded by South East Arts
General operating expenses
Projects that have commenced or are completed
Sporting activities
Activities which could be considered part of the curriculum for schools or tertiary institutions

Prepare your application with this checklist
- Speak to SEA about application
- Secure any partnerships or collaborations for your project
- Seek support letters as appropriate
- Submit online form through Smarty Grants by due date - no extensions will be granted
Address the eligibility criteria
Each applicant, as part of an application response, must confirm that they meet the eligibility criteria.
Applicants that do not address the eligibility criteria in full may be excluded from the application process at the department's discretion.
Address the assessment criteria
Applications will be assessed by panel made up of SEA board members and regional artists/arts workers.
The assessment panel will assess and rank all applications against the merit, impact and viability assessment criteria.
Assessment scores will be amalgamated and presented at the assessment meeting to determine final recommendations.
