Program objective
The objectives of the ‘Renewable Energy Infrastructure Ombudsman’ grant are to:
- establish an independent ombudsman to oversee consultation on, and rollout of, renewable energy and transmission infrastructure projects in NSW and to receive and handle complaints about these projects
- improve oversight on community engagement practices in NSW for transmission and renewable energy infrastructure, and bolster community acceptance of these projects.
This program is administered by Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water.
