Program objective
The grant program has been established to support the rollout and expansion of the Purple Flag program across NSW. Through targeted funding, the Purple Flag Grant Program seeks to:
- Increase awareness – Support marketing, education, and outreach initiatives to enhance business and consumer engagement with the Purple Flag accreditation program.
- Strengthen local coordination and collaboration – Facilitate stronger partnerships between councils, businesses, and stakeholders to drive precinct improvements and support ongoing accreditation efforts.
- Improve perceptions of safety for women and gender-diverse people – Support initiatives that enhance the safety and inclusivity of night-time precincts, particularly for women and gender-diverse people, helping to create welcoming and secure environments for all.
Overall, the program aims to strengthen and expand the current network of Purple Flag precincts and ensure their long-term sustainability, ultimately fostering safer, more vibrant, and well-managed night-time economies.

This grant round is only open to eligible applicants who are representing an existing accredited Purple Flag precinct. The link to the application form will be directly sent to these applicants.
