Apprentices and trainees who move interstate prior to completing their required training often seek to re-establish their apprenticeship or traineeship with a new employer in that state.
It has been the practice of state training authorities with responsibility for the administration of apprenticeships and traineeships to provide, on request, an Extract of Record to certify the status of the particular training arrangement.
An application for an extract of record has been developed and it can be lodged by the apprentice or trainee at any Training Services centre and can be made available to a 3rd party with the consent of the apprentice or trainee.
