The new Modern Languages and Classical Languages K–10 syllabuses are now available on the Digital Curriculum:
The new Modern Languages K–10 (2022) and Classical Languages K–10 (2022) syllabuses are to be taught from 2024.
2023: Plan and prepare to teach the new syllabuses. Schools have the option to start teaching the new syllabuses where there is not an existing course for a language.
2024: Start teaching new syllabuses for:
Students who commenced a 100-hour or 200-hour elective course in 2023 may continue to study that course in 2024.

Schools have access to support materials including teaching advice and resources on the Digital Curriculum to assist with implementation. More resources will be made available over time as well as online, accredited professional development on NESA’s online learning hub.
