About the RoSA credentials
The Record of School Achievement (RoSA) is a cumulative credential for students who leave school before completing their Higher School Certificate (HSC).
The RoSA lists all mandatory and additional Stage 5 (Year 10) courses and, where applicable, Stage 6 (Year 11 and 12) courses completed by the student, along with the grade/mark awarded.
The RoSA credential also lists any courses commenced but not completed, and the date of leaving school (where applicable).
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) will issue the formal RoSA credential to students who satisfy the eligibility requirements when they leave school and are nominated as a RoSA school leaver.
Nominated school leavers who are not eligible for the RoSA will receive a Transcript of Study.
The RoSA is a cumulative record of achievement that includes a student’s record of academic achievement up until the date they leave school. The RoSA was introduced in 2012.
The RoSA records (where applicable):
- completed Stage 5 (Year 10) courses and grades
- completed Preliminary Stage 6 (Year 11) courses and grades
- HSC (Year 12) results
- any uncompleted Preliminary Stage 6 courses or HSC courses, where applicable.

All students and schools will have access to a record of student results on a Student eRecord.
The Student eRecord is available through:
- Students Online for students
- Schools Online for schools.
The Student eRecord is not a formal NESA credential, but has the same information as a RoSA. It also contains information regarding Life Skills outcomes achieved, where applicable.
