Overview of this event
The session aims to develop teachers’ understanding of the requirements for Proficient Teacher accreditation. It provides advice on achieving Proficient Teacher accreditation for teachers working in casual or short-term temporary roles.
The session covers:
- the Australia Professional Standards for Teachers
- teaching as a professional continuum of career stages linked to accreditation
- understanding Standards-based teaching practice
- the journey to Proficient Teacher accreditation
- visible teaching practice and impact (for casual and short-term teaching roles)
- developing authentic evidence
- annotating evidence
- accreditation decisions.
The session is delivered online. All sessions start promptly at 4:00pm.
