Teacher professional learning environment preferences

This report focuses on what teachers nominated as their preferred learning environment for professional development training. Learn more about the preferences and the key findings.

In 2015, over 100,000 NSW teachers were surveyed about their professional development (PD) experiences, preferences and needs.

Teachers were asked to nominate their preferred learning environment (mode) –  online, face-to-face, or blended (a combination of online and face-to-face).

Factors affecting these results were:

  • geographical location
  • teaching experience
  • sector
  • employment and accreditation status.
