Information, images and videos posted online can be untrue or misleading. Anyone can post a story online and news travels fast on social media. So we need to question what we read and watch, before trusting that it's right.

Year 5 and 6 students can learn to investigate fake information and fake friendships online.

Students can develop critical thinking skills to:

  • identify misinformation, disinformation and fake online identities such as impersonator and catfishing accounts
  • stay safe and where to get help and support.
