Derelict structures and possible floating debris

The area
Vessel operators are advised that derelict structures and/or partially submerged derelict structures are present in the waters of Port Jackson, in the vicinity of Berrys Bay on the north western side and Balls Head (Balls Head Coal Loader).
Navigation warning
Vessel operators are advised to exercise caution when navigating on the waters of Port Jackson, in the vicinity of the Area.
As a result of the derelict structures floating and partially submerged debris has been found in and around the Area. A number of pylons and a containment barrier has been installed around the site.
The Area is lit by a West cardinal mark and 4 yellow flashing lights on either side.
Transport for NSW has taken preventative measures and actively monitors the area and removes debris, however further debris may exist particularly during and after periods of adverse weather conditions.
