Coffs Harbour International Marina Construction Works

The Works

Transport for NSW advises vessel operators that construction works will be undertaken to the Coffs Harbour International Marina which will impact navigation to the Coffs Harbour Boat Harbour and the International Marina from Thursday, 7 November 2024 to Thursday, 1 May 2025, weekdays from 7:00am to 6:00pm and on Saturdays from 7:00am to 1:00pm.

The works include the removal of the existing marina and the supply and installation of new piles, pontoons, gangways and services. A piling barge, dumb barge, smaller support work vessels and pusher boats will be used as required.

Navigation Restriction and Warning

The construction works will significantly impact the marina layout, restricting accessibility and traffic flow to berths, docks, the boat harbour, and access points to the Coffs Harbour between the above times on the above dates.

Vessel operators are to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of the works and pay particular attention to construction work vessels, lighting & day shapes and any advisory signage. Lit flashing yellow buoys will be deployed at pivotal locations around the Marina during the works, and unauthorised vessel operators should not enter restricted areas.

Directions

Vessels are required to comply with all signage and buoyage. Failure to comply is an offence (s 11(4) of the Marine Safety Act 1998 – Maximum Penalty $5,500 in relation to wash and $1100 in any other case.)

Persons within the vicinity of the Works must comply with any directions given by a Boating Safety Officer or Police Officer in relation to the works or to marine safety. Failure to comply with any such direction is an offence (Marine Safety Act 1998, s.15A - Maximum Penalty $3,300.00).
