Removal of Redundant Powerlines in Cockle Creek

The Works
Vessel operators are advised that Ausgrid will be undertaking the removal of redundant powerlines which span Cockle Creek between Creek Reserve Road near Second and Third Street, and Racecourse Road at Boolaroo on Monday, 11 November 2024 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Navigation Restriction and Warning
Safety vessels will be in use on the navigable waters of Cockle Creek between the above times which may restrict vessel access.
Vessel operators are to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of the works and pay particular attention to construction work vessels and any advisory signage.
Persons within the vicinity of the Works must comply with any directions given by a Boating Safety Officer or Police Officer in relation to the works or to marine safety. Failure to comply with any such direction is an offence (s 15A of the Marine Safety Act 1998 - Maximum Penalty $3,300.00).
Vessels are required to maintain a safe distance and speed from the works and operators are reminded that the production of wash which impacts unreasonably on the works is an offence (cl 11(2) of the Marine Safety Regulation 2016 - Maximum Penalty $5,500.00).
