Pacific Highway Ballina Interchange
Transport for NSW is making lane configuration changes on the northbound off ramp and roundabout the Ballina Interchange on the Pacific Highway.
Background
The Ballina Interchange plays a vital role in facilitating movement at the intersection of the Bruxner and Pacific Highways.
The roundabout is a key movement location for road users travelling to and from Lismore, Ballina and the Ballina Service Centre.
During busy travel times, traffic on the off ramp can queue back on to the Pacific Highway.
To address this, Transport for NSW is making lane configuration changes on the northbound off ramp of the roundabout.
The left lane will allow motorists to turn left towards Lismore on the Bruxner Highway or to continue straight back onto the Pacific Highway towards Tweed Heads.
The right lane will allow motorists to turn right towards Ballina, or u-turn back onto the Pacific Highway towards Coffs Harbour.
New signage and line markings will be installed to guide motorists.
Transport for NSW will monitor and review the impact of the lane configuration changes.
