Renew or replace a Mobility parking permit
Is your NSW mobility parking permit about to expire? Is it lost, damaged or stolen? Here's how to renew or replace it.
Who can renew or replace a permit?
You can renew or replace your NSW Mobility Parking Scheme permit if you're an eligible person with a disability or medical condition that severely affects your ability to walk.
Someone else can renew your permit for you if you’re already recorded in our system and have a photo exemption. The person renewing the permit will need to provide their proof of identity as well as yours when applying.
How to renew
Make sure you renew your NSW mobility parking permit before your old one expires.
If your permit is about to expire, we'll send you a renewal notice about 6 weeks before the expiry date.
The renewal notice will advise if you need to book an appointment with a medical doctor or specialist before you renew your permit. This is so they can confirm you're still eligible on your application.
If you have an eligible permanent disability we record this on our system when you first apply for a permit. This means you may not need to confirm your eligibility to renew your permit.

Renewing online
To renew your mobility parking permit online, you need:
- 2 proof of identity documents
- a completed Mobility Parking Scheme application form.
Renew online with Service NSW.
Renewing in person
To renew in person at a service centre bring:
- your completed Mobility Parking Scheme application form
- proof of your identity.
Using your renewed permit
Your new permit will be posted to you within 15 business days. If your old permit has expired, you can't park in disability parking spaces or access parking concessions until you have your new permit.
As soon as you receive your new permit you must Return your old permit.

Returning your old permit
Once you receive your new card after applying for a renewal or replacement, you must return your old permit card.
You can take it to a service centre or post it to:

Transport for NSW
PO Box 3035
Parramatta NSW 2124
You will be issued with a heavy fine if you do not return or continue to display an invalid, expired or damaged card.
If you still have the permit, you can bring it to the service centre when you bring the application.
If you've declared your old permit lost, stolen or destroyed, but you find it later, you'll still need to hand it in to a service centre or post it to us.
