Our Research and Education Network

The Western Sydney LHD Research and Education Network (REN) leads, supports and coordinates research and education.

REN helps staff develop projects, access infrastructure, secure funding, and meet ethics and governance guidelines, while fostering innovation in clinical practice.

Research projects

Research is an important part of our work at Western Sydney LHD. Many teams across the District run their own research projects. They also work with others, including partners through the Westmead Research Hub.

Our research covers many areas, such as lab work, testing new drugs and medical devices, and studying patterns of health and disease in the community.
