After living in foster care for over 5 years and overcoming various challenges, Lydia Tofaeono has emerged as a young leader and compassionate volunteer.
Since 2021, Lydia has volunteered with Prosper (Project Australia) to support disadvantaged children and families. Her efforts include packing food hampers, distributing clothes, and handing out Christmas gifts to fellow foster children. She has worked with families escaping domestic violence, the homeless, and those newly arrived from war zones, demonstrating her commitment to helping others.
Lydia represents her culture by performing with Matavai Pacific Cultural Arts and showcases her creativity by recording songs and working as a crew member on musicals and films.
