Kate Cleary is founder of 'The Farm', a sanctuary for women recovering from alcohol and drug misuse. Her mission focuses on restoring lives and rebuilding the mother–child bond.
Kate created The Farm following outreach efforts in public housing, which revealed the complex needs of these women. Recognising that support required more than just visits, Kate established a live-in program to provide comprehensive care for issues like trauma and child removal.
Located in Galong, The Farm offers safe accommodation for women seeking recovery from substance abuse and domestic violence. Residents participate in a holistic long-term program, helping them develop the skills and self-worth essential for lasting change.
