Jan Frikken is a community advocate and leader, dedicated to nurturing connection, empowerment, equity and inclusion through advocacy, capacity building, education and action. She has created numerous community-based activities and groups including English classes, diversity nights, multicultural celebrations and Eurobodalla Multicultural Group.
Highlights of Jan's work include establishing the Shoalhaven Multicultural Hub in 2024, instituting Batemans Bay Dinner Group to support local restaurants and foster social connection, coordinating community support during the Black Summer Bushfires, and launching Caring Corner during the COVID-19 pandemic for those in need.
Jan enriches her community and empowers individuals through love and kindness, positively impacting the lives of those she serves.
