Behavioural research is used to understand how people act and make decisions in everyday life. This helps the NSW Government design public services and policies in ways that work with the way people behave and help people make better decisions for themselves and for society.
The Behavioural Insights Unit (BIU) works across the NSW Government to improve the effectiveness of public services and policy by applying their insights into the way people think and act.
