About our service
Our medical experts, known as pathologists, work in public hospitals and modern labs. They work with scientists, technicians, and support staff to quickly and accurately study samples.
The Forensic and Analytical Science Service does independent analysis for the NSW criminal and coronial justice systems. It also tests environmental health for public health units in NSW. The service provides help to Transport for NSW, local governments, and other groups.

NSW Health Pathology
NSW Health Pathology plays a crucial role in healthcare, boasting a network of over 60 state-of-the-art laboratories and around 200 pathology collection services in public hospitals and community health facilities throughout NSW.
The organisation has a large team of over 4000 people. Every year, they conduct and meticulously analyse over 61 million tests. This demonstrates their commitment to providing high-quality services that contribute significantly to the overall health and well-being of the community.
