About our governance and advisors
We report to the Social Impact Investment Steering Committee that guides and endorses OSII’s overall strategic direction. We seek independent advice from an Expert Advisory Group on growing the impact investment market in NSW, including building awareness and capability. We also report to the NSW Sustainability Bond Committee as lead for the Sustainability Bond Programme Asset Identification Group and Reporting Group.
Social Impact Investment Steering Committee
OSII reports to the Social Impact Investment Steering Committee, a cross-agency governance group consisting of senior executives from:
- NSW Treasury
- The Cabinet Office
- NSW Department of Education
- NSW Department of Communities and Justice
- NSW Ministry of Health
- Aboriginal Affairs
- NSW Corrective Services

Expert Advisory Group
OSII seeks advice from an independent Expert Advisory Group that work to raise awareness of social impact investment. This group consists of experts in social finance, philanthropy, and social services.
Meet our Expert Advisory Group
Trevor has practiced commercial law for over 40 years. Trevor is chair of Northern Sydney Local Health District and sits on the boards of Endeavour Energy and the privatised NSW Land Registry Office.
He is Chair of the NSW Community Housing Industry Council and a member of the Australian SKA Coordination Committee for the Square Kilometre Array telescope. He is the immediate past chair of the Dean of Science’s Advisory Council at UNSW, where he is an Adjunct Professor.
Professor Danielle Logue has over 20 years’ experience in social innovation across research, industry innovation policy and programs, and for-purpose organisations in Australia and in the Asia Pacific. She is currently Professor of Innovation & Impact at UNSW Business School, and Director of the Centre for Social Impact, UNSW.
Professor Logue is a global leader in social innovation and social impact research and analysis, and has published widely on how enterprises, communities, governments, and markets engage in processes of social innovation. Recent projects investigate new forms of organising, governing, and financing to address social and environmental problems including impact investing, civic crowdfunding platforms, social stock exchanges, social impact bonds, gender-lens investing, and social enterprises. Prior professional experience includes industry and innovation policy, business and international development for organisations such as the World Bank and Australian Federal and State Departments of Industry. She is a Research Fellow at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge and completed a Doctorate of Philosophy and Master of Science at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Elyse has played a pivotal role in the establishment of the outcomes contracting and Social Impact Bond market in Australia. For over a decade she led the Social Ventures Australia Social Impact Bond practice area, working with partners across the social sector, government and investor domains to develop the majority of Australia’s Social Impact Bonds.
Prior to her work at Social Ventures Australia Elyse worked in senior roles in the financial services sector for two decades after qualifying as an actuary.
Patrick has played a leadership role in the social purpose sector as CEO of Mission Australia, Society of St Vincent de Paul and the Retirement Villages Group in Macquarie Capital. He chaired the Reference Group on Welfare Reform and the Review of the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission.
Patrick is a company director and consultant. He is an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) and was awarded an Australian Centennial Medal. He is a Churchill Fellow and recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award (Murdoch University). He is a Graduate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Richard has almost 30 years of experience in the funds management and pension fund industries, as Chief Executive Officer of Pendal Australia, Chief Investment Officer at Aware Super and Group Executive at Perpetual Investments.
Richard has also been on a number of boards and investment committees across the industry. He is currently Chair of Impact Investing Australia, part of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing and is a member of the Northern Territory Aboriginal Investment Corporation Investment Committee.
Trish Oxford - a proud Ngemba woman from North Western NSW, is a committed champion for social justice. With a passionate dedication to enhancing the economic and emotional well-being of Aboriginal communities, she has forged a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years. Trish has a diverse career background in human services within both not-for-profit organisations and the NSW Government, she has traversed various roles from frontline service provision to senior executive leadership.
In 2018, following her tenure at the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office, Trish embarked on a new chapter by joining Westpac's esteemed Equilibrium Program, marking her transition into the financial sector. More recently, as the General Manager of Indigenous Business and Community Engagement at Australian Unity, Trish has focused on instigating transformative and sustainable change for Aboriginal people and communities, with a special emphasis on the well-being and care of Elders.
NSW Sustainability Bond Committee
OSII reports to the NSW Sustainability Bond Committee (NSBC). Its members are subject matter experts from TCorp, NSW Treasury, (including OSII) and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
The NSBC is responsible for and accountable to the NSW Sustainability Bond Framework.
