Creating a safe space for all
Join a team that values and practices workplace diversity, inclusion, and belonging. We are committed to creating a safe space where every person can achieve their full potential and access the same opportunities.
We recognise that while we are all diverse, certain aspects of identity can lead to marginalisation and affect people's access to opportunities in various ways.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- First Nations
- age, including young people and older people
- disability, including hidden disabilities
- neurodiversity
- mental health
- gender
- LGBTIQA+
- multi-cultural/cultural and linguistic diversity
- religious/faith affiliation
- socio-economic background.

Promoting the inclusion of culturally and linguistically diverse people and perspectives within Treasury.
Our vision is for NSW Treasury to become a leader in progressing cultural and linguistic diversity and inclusion in the workplace and the NSW Public Sector. It is our aim to ensure that we reflect the community that we serve.
Our Multicultural Action Plan is one of the key steps we are taking to promote inclusion and belonging. Our plan will support Treasury to create an inclusive culture where people who identify as culturally and linguistically diverse can achieve their full potential and access the same opportunities.

Continuing to create a safe and respectful workplace in which all staff members can be their whole selves.
We aim to create a safe and respectful work environment where all staff can be their true authentic selves. We are not just connecting with members of the LGBTIQA+ community, but also their allies, to ensure Treasury is an inclusive and safe place to work, because inclusion is about everyone feeling safe and empowered. That is why we celebrate Pride within Treasury and at external events whenever we have the opportunity.
Seeking equal opportunities and fostering an empowering work environment for everyone, regardless of gender.
Our vision is for NSW Treasury to continue to be a leader in progressing gender equality and diversity in the workplace, the NSW public sector and communities across the state.
Since our first Gender Equality Action Plan in 2022, we have made good progress in advancing gender equality in NSW Treasury, but there is more work to do. We are continually working to identify and overcome barriers and create opportunities for everyone, irrespective of gender.
We are committed to equitable and inclusive recruitment, enhancing flexibility and support, and embedding gender responsive budgeting across the NSW Government.
