Springwood Hospital is a small facility in the Blue Mountains that provides a range of allied health, rehabilitation, aged care and palliative care services. It does not have an emergency department.
About us
Springwood Hospital has 27 beds.
Inpatient care is provided by specialists and GPs.
No pathology or medical imaging is done on site. Blood collected from patients is couriered to Nepean Hospital or a private pathology service when required.
Patients may be transferred from other Nepean Blue Mountains facilities to be cared for while waiting for a nursing home place.
Springwood Hospital was opened in 1976 as a community-based hospital. The community remains very active in supporting and raising funds for the hospital.
Hours of service
Springwood Hospital visiting hours are between 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm daily.
*Please note that we are temporarily limiting visitors to Springwood Hospital to help keep our patients and staff as safe as possible.
