Blue Mountains Hospital has a small mental health inpatient unit providing short-term 24-hour care for people experiencing acute mental health issues.
About us
This inpatient unit provides short-term 24-hour care by registered nurses under the guidance of a psychiatric team.
Patients are supported with medication and can be linked with a case manager for longer term support.
Admission can be voluntary, or involuntary under the NSW Mental Health Act.

Our emergency mental health services can be accessed through the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District hospital emergency departments or by contacting the NSW Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511 any time.
