Carers of patients and their can access specialist appointments, tests and procedures without being admitted to hospital.
About us
We provide services for children in the following clinics:
- NICU Developmental Assessments – Nepean Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Internal referrals only
- Developmental Assessments – paediatrician referral required.
Making a referral
All new patients will need a referral letter from a paediatrician addressed to the Developmental Clinic, Nepean Hospital. Dr Basiliki Lampropoulos is the attending developmental paediatrician.
Referrals must contain:
- a clear statement of assessment goals
- details about why a developmental delay or disorder is suspected
- developmental and medical history
- details about behavioural concerns with examples included
- details about any previous assessments and services received
- details about the investigations and interventions you are arranging for the child to receive while they are waiting for our appointment
- all relevant reports such as:
- psychometric assessments
- speech therapy reports
- occupational therapy reports
- psychology reports
- pathology results
- hearing and eye assessment results.

What to bring
Medicare card for bulk billing
- list of current medications
- updated reports from relevant services that see your child
- previous tests, pathology results, reports and scans if available.
