Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) Chief Executive Jill Ludford said that communities play a critical role in the process of developing a Health Services Plan.
“Significant stakeholder engagement was undertaken involving patients, representatives from the community, key local stakeholders and health organisations,” Ms Ludford said.
“We thank the community for the positive response – around 150 surveys were received, and the community consultation sessions were also well attended.
“Some of main themes to come out of the stakeholder engagement were aged care, medical imaging, and use of telehealth to improve access to specialist services.”
The draft plan will be on display until 2 March 2023 and online on our website. Paper copies will also be available to view at Lower Lachlan Community Services (30 Foster St) and Lake Cargelligo Multipurpose Service (CMPS) reception. Feedback can be provided via email or submitted on paper at the CMPS reception.
“We encourage residents of Lake Cargelligo and surrounding communities to provide feedback about the Plan for their Health Service, and their future health needs, during the public exhibition period,” Ms Ludford said.
"The feedback will be assessed and incorporated into the plan where feasible, and a summary of key feedback included in the plan.”
