How you can contribute
Get involved and share your ideas and opinions with us. It is an opportunity for you to contribute and make a difference to your Local Health District.
There are many opportunities to contribute to Health Services in your community. We hold public forums, undertake surveys, focus groups and interviews. We also involve community representatives on working parties. These representatives help us plan, design and assess our services and facilities.
Local Health Advisory Committee (LHAC) members will have the opportunity to represent and advocate for health issues in the local community.

The draft Cootamundra Health Service Plan (PDF 3.32MB) (PDF 3.32MB)and the Summary Document (PDF 508.6KB) are open for community and stakeholder review.
A Health Service Plan outlines the health services required to reflect the community’s needs into the future and makes recommendations about the best way to deliver these services.
The results from the 2023 community survey, along with historical and future service use data (at Cootamundra health service and elsewhere) inform the draft Cootamundra Health Service Plan.
In 2023, 865 residents completed the community survey (around 10% of the population), with good representation across age groups, people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and people who were born overseas. The local Partnership Reference Committee provided invaluable support to get the word out and encourage people to participate in the survey.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District would now like to invite staff, the community, and partner organisations and other stakeholders to provide feedback to the draft Cootamundra Health Service Plan.
A four page summary document of the full 115 page draft Service Plan is available for review. The feedback period has been extended until Wednesday 31 July.
Feedback to the draft plan can be provided through:
MLHD-Feedback@health.nsw.gov.au.
Handwritten feedback can be dropped into collection boxes at the hospital, HealthOne, Council, and the library.
