Our agriculture teams work with a diverse range of customers, industries, and partners to strengthen agriculture in NSW. Facilitating workshops and events, on-farm inspections, seasonal updates and advice, hosting in the paddock events, utilising the latest technology and innovation into property management – we do it all.
Our biosecurity officers support land managers to fulfil responsibilities to manage pests, weeds, and diseases under Australian biosecurity legislation and run profitable and productive farming enterprise.
Our district vets are a crucial link in the animal biosecurity chain. They collect surveillance information, give expert biosecurity advice to livestock owners and industries, and provide a vital front-line resource in protecting against animal disease and pests.
Play a crucial role in managing emergencies that affect the community, environment and economy of NSW. Help landholders prepare for natural disasters (such as flood and bushfire), and biosecurity events involving plants, animals and pest insects such as locust plagues.
Support the LLS management team to deliver annual priorities and business plans within budget. Work with Project Managers to ensure financial reports are carefully analysed and fully understood.
Help farmers manage their native forests for timber production, biodiversity conservation and Aboriginal cultural values by including forestry as part of their farming business.
Make a difference in rural communities by working with landholders to help improve sustainable land management practices and biodiversity conservation including weed and pest animal control, managing native vegetation and habitat restoration.
Work with communities to better manage our water, land, soil, vegetation, biodiversity and cultural heritage. This includes managing travelling stock reserves and areas of significance to Aboriginal communities.
Combine technical knowledge and project management skills to help LLS to deliver on-ground projects. Our project officers are essential to ensure effective collaboration and communication between stakeholders, including private and public land managers, First Nations communities, and government agencies.
